“This is your beloved DJ, Funky Jan, asking you all to not die within the next twenty-four hours, it'd hurt our ratings.”

Based out of Fort Buckeye, Buckeye Radio serves as the main broadcast centre of the Carolina Buckeyes. Pumping out funk and regular news updates across James Island, Morris Island, and Folly Island. The radio broadcasts from the same centre which holds the Buckeye's military communication centre.

History[]

Originating on the Buckeye's military communication radio, Buckeye Radio was eventually shifted into its own station when Lieutenant Jack Andre cracked down on music being played over official channels. However, he allowed the operators responsible to set up a parallel station. Seizing the opportunity, Private Jess Hall set about the creation of the station. Gathering a group of friends and like-minded individuals, she set out to scavenge enough equipment for the station. It wouldn't be long before funky and free tunes blasted across the Buckeye Islands.

Operations[]

Buckeye Radio is generally preoccupied with the playing of funky-fresh tunes but in between, they make attempts to update the populace on what's happening around the island. Unlike Holy City Radio which possesses a more strict broadcast plan, the crew at Buckeye Radio is more lose in their interpretation of what a "schedule" even means. More often than not, they'll throw any new thing on air that they want when they want. While it can turn off some listeners, you never can exactly know what to expect when you tune in to listen.
