Centurion One was a supersonic nuclear-powered double-decker airliner that was initially produced by Mallikoat Holdings subsidiary "Greensboro Aviation" until it was renamed to "Mallikoat Aeronautics" in 2020.

The Plane was designed by Mallikoat Holdings engineers specifically before the company became Mallikoat Aeronautics. It was designed to be the first nuclear-powered supersonic aircraft that could shorten the trips between the USA to Europe and USA to Asia. The plane would achieve legendary status as an cultural icon of the technological prowess that the Mallikoat Holdings company and it's vast subsidiaries held.

History[]

The first concept of Supersonic travel was observed when Chuck Yeager in a Bell X-1 in 1947 and was thought of revolutionary in it's time. Supersonic travel quickly became an object of fascination with many young idealists and people who were greatly inspired by the first Supersonic travel. One of these people were Sir James Hamilton who would help invent the jet-powered Concorde which would bridge the gap between the USA and Europe.

Concorde was released in the 1970s and used jet-engines to achieve the desired speed. Despite many companies placing orders only two airlines actually utilized the Concorde with it being British Airways and Air France. The Concorde proved to be a trustworthy design and was an interesting supersonic plane for it's time. Due to two incidents surrounding the Concorde the Mallikoat Holdings company took notice and seeing a quick way to make a buck. They started research on a nuclear-powered supersonic double decker plane that could travel faster and quicker than the Concorde and be as twice as safe.

The Research took a great while with many Congressional hearings and Mallikoat Holdings exerting its influence in national politics through its massive campaign donations to repeal sonic-boom laws. The first model was revealed on April 28th, 2020 and it was the Centurion-One 100 the very first model of the Centurion One and many airlines took to ordering the new aircraft that. Saudia Airlines along with British Airways and Lufthansa purchased vast quantities of the aircraft while many other airlines stood by and waited.

By 2025 the aircraft had a good proven safety record and the airlines using the Centurion-One 100 model had increased from three to thirty two. The model was quickly raking in so much money that Mallikoat Holdings decided to fully rename their subsidiary to Mallikoat Aeronautics and began work on the Centurion-One 200 model which would have newer engines and better safety features. The research would take much time and engineering even longer with the Centurion-One 200 being released on April 21st, 2040 almost 20 years since the unveiling of the first Centurion-One.

The Centurion One 200 had became the newest star of the Mallikoat Aeronautics firm and over 52 airlines were using it by 2051. The Centurion One 200 received an upgrade with the RobCo "FlightService-Masterbrain AI" which was an impressive in-flight AI that could minimize the work of flight attendants and allow them to focus on important issues. This small but noticeable feature quickly made the plane even more popular. By 2066 there was a Centurion One 300 in the works but due to the war in Alaska much of the work was diverted to war-time production and the Centurion One 300 was shelved.

It continued to be shelved until the Great War with only three prototypes being known that are not in flyable condition due to the 200+ years of rust and buildup. The Centurion One models continue to be a object of fascination with them being on many posters and in many books about planes along with them being found across the world in former airports and scattered crashed due to the Great War.

Features[]

  • Engines: Speeder-Nuclear Thrust Jet Engines (that deliver a speech of Mach 2, with the Centurion One 300 prototype engines being a updated version that could deliver a speed of Mach 3 to Mach 4.)
  • Safety: The plane incorporated various safety features such as drogue parachutes located at the tail-end of the aircraft that could be deployed by the pilot or an passenger with minimal training. The chutes would deploy and slow the jet down allowing it to make a complete stop on runways that were shorter than recommended lengths. The Centurion One 300 model was to incorporate a "plane-parachute" that would allow the plane to deploy a parachute in the event of a incident or accident. This parachute could either be triggered automatically by the onboard AI or by the pilot themselves.
  • AI: Onboard the plane was the famous "FlightService-Masterbrain AI" which controlled in-flight entertainment and various entertainment screens located on the back of people's chairs. The AI could play various movies and songs on the in-plane projector screen as well as individual entertainment on the individual screens. Not only this, the plane was incorporated with a "FlightControl-Masterbrain AI" which functioned as an advanced auto-pilot that could engage itself if the plane received emergency depressurization or if the plane was stalling. The AI would be able to lower the plane automatically to a safe height to allow the pilots to "wake up" and regain control of the aircraft. In addition it could destall the aircraft. The AI was also capable of transmitting automated messages to Air Traffic Control and custom ones it made itself with various flight data in the event of an emergency
