A wagon and cart producer after The War, Cousin Craig's Carts was a steady sight in central Alabama. After the death of it's owner however it was sold to a rival enterprise.

Foundation[]

Triple C was founded by Craig Crawdad, a welder who passed one night in a former Chryslus dealership. Finding only odds-and-ends there, there was a set of small tires, an axle and enough panels to fit around them. Spending a few days there, he managed to weld a crude, but practical wagon to pull his belongings in, instead of having to drag a sled. As he was loading his items into the wagon however, he was approached by a merchant and a tired brahmin.

The newcomer explained that her beast was old and tired, and she was wondering if Craig would be willing to sell the wagon. Instantly realizing the opportunity, he agreed to sell it , and even helped create a rig to connect it to the brahmin. He then bought supplies for local scavers and set up a crude workshop in the service department of the dealership. From here he began Cousin Craig's Carts, taking orders and welding together the vehicles, as well as some personal projects.

The shop soon became a staple amongst merchants going through the area, with several detouring just to browse the available selection. While this initially validated Craig's idea, it also kept him from growing it, as he was kept constantly busy filing orders by 2126 that he was unable to clear his back log. To this end he hired two of the more enterprising locals to assist him, one in the workshop, and one on the sales floor. The trio managed to make headway clearing the list and selling extra carts, earning all a nice income.

The business expanded again in 2131 as caravans became a more regular sight, leading both to increased demand of carts, as well as increased supply of materials. These factors led to two more individuals hired, both of whom aided in the building of the carts, though the sales staff still tried selling their wares to any travelers that came near them. Rumors of a gang war in Mobile kept them garage busy for most of 2133, though it was greatly exaggerated with only a handful of carts sold. The rest of the fleet was sold to locals and merchants, though it took several months to get rid of the back log.

The garage's good fortune took a turn in 2141, when Crawdad received a cancer diagnosis from a traveling doctor he had consulted. Ignoring the words and concern of his friends, Crawdad went about his routine with no changes. While this seemed an acceptable option at the time, as the next few years went on it became clear that Crawdad was indeed dying. Hoping to deny his passing Crawdad dived into his work while consuming large amounts of medicine, which quickly brought him to his death bed.

Craig Crawdad fell into a coma in early May of 2146 and passed two days later with no clear successor. After some discussion about their future, the remaining workers of the garage agreed to sell the set-up to a competitor from Mobile. Four of the staff stayed on to operate the workshop, though they soon left, bringing the end of Cousin Craig's Carts.
