A common stomach bacteria before the War, the resulting radiation and airborne-FEV has resulted in a deadly bacteria. While harmless to it's hosts Toryitlus Maxey has been the death of many bit by the creature.

Signs & Symptoms[]

The most obvious sign of an Toryitlus infection (besides the accompanying bite) is the smell, as the bacteria begins to breakdown the affected tissue. This is accompanied by slight pain that begins to intensify as the bacteria spreads, reproducing in their victim's body. This leads to necrosis as the tissue dies, with secondary infections spiking as well. If left untreated Toryitlus is almost always fatal, and in the rare cases it is not, it leads to severe damage to the body.

Treatment & Prevention[]

The easiest way to prevent the spread of Toryitlus Maxey is to avoid Scrub Turtles and not to be bit by one. If someone is bit however, then a course of antibiotics is the most effective treatment, though tissue loss around the wound is common. If the bacteria is allowed to spread however, then anti-biotics become much less effective, and amputation may be necessary.
